of course there are bad songs of deftones. I firmly believe Deftones has achieved "BALANCE" on this release. Rats! Back when it first came out I would listen to it constantly to the point where I am burnt out on it years after. After listening to this album countless times I can confidently say there isn't any track on here that didn't deserve a spot on the album. The newest album Ohms will be included. This album right here is probably the most underrated album in all of their discography. They are one of the VERY few heavy bands that make consistently solid albums. This album was my introduction to the band back in 2015 before Gore came out and I liked it but I wasn't blown away by it. ... My rankings are based on the likelihood I would skip a song from this album if I played the entire discography on shuffle. As far as sound goes you can obviously tell that this is their first album. On its own its a good track but in the context of the album it is a perfect way to tie up the whole thing. BUT after each listen I liked it more and more and I have a huge appreciation for it now. I have a few others but im going to listen to a few cds with some other peoples opinions in mind just to try and get some sort of grasp of where they are coming from. there is no bad deftones song if you listen to it at the right time in the right enviroment. They still have great tracks and great instrumental performances on this album though. If I took out a song on the album and listened to it alone it is good in its own merit but listening to it in the context of the album really gives it a huge boost. Great tracks that I always come back to are Root, Bored, 7 Words, and Engine No. It is by no means bad or unlistenable and has good tracks on the album like "Cherry Waves" but this would easily be the last Deftones album I would choose if I had to pick one to listen to. If Gore started my interest for the band then this album 100% solidified them as one of my all time favorite bands. This Place Is Death: The most forgettable song and it's a closer. Hardly a “worst” album despite its ranking on this list, Adrenaline was and is a worthy debut for the Deftones, introducing the world to one of heavy music’s unique voices. Just like with Self Titled it impressed me more and more as time went on. It just flows so well and has well executed transitions throughout the whole album. just need to give the songs you already dislike a better/second chance.
